Devils Marbles & Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park

Am 01.04.16 habe ich Alice Springs verlassen und bin, mit Zwischenstopps in Aileron und Ti Tree, zu den Devils Marbles gefahren. Hierbei handelt es sich um zu runden Felsen erodiertem Granit. Dort habe ich dann einen kleinen Rundgang gemacht.
At the first of April 2016 I left Alice Springs and drove, with stops in Aileron and Ti Tree, to the Devils Marbles. These are to round rocks eroded granite. There I did a short round tour.

Anschließend bin ich weiter nach Tennant Creek gefahren, wo ich die Nacht auf einem Campingplatz verbrachte.
Afterwards I drove to Tennant Creek, where I spent the night at a camping ground.

Gestern (02.04.16) bin ich ca. 700km bis Katherine gefahren. Zwischenstopps habe ich in Elliott und Mataranka gemacht. Die Landschaft hat sich während der langen Fahrt sehr verändert. In Katherine habe ich dann auf einem Campingplatz für zwei Nächte eingecheckt und dort den Abend und die Nacht verbracht.
Yesterday (02/04/16) I drove about 700 kilometre to Katherine. I did stopovers in Elliott and Mataranka. The landscape really changed during the long drive. In Katherine I checked in at a camp ground for two nights and spent the evening and the night there.

Heute (03.04.16) bin ich in den Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) Nationalpark, ca. 30km außerhalb von Katherine, gefahren. Dort habe ich dann eine mehrstündige Wanderung unternommen. Angefangen habe ich mit einem Teil des Baruwei Loop. Am ersten Lookout habe ich dann eine kleine Pause eingelegt.
Today (03/04/16) I drove to the Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park, about 30 kilometre outside of Katherine. There I did a several hours long walk. I began with a part of the Baruwei Loop. At the first lookout I took a short break.

Anschließend folgte ich dem Baruwei Loop bis zur Abzweigung zum Pat's Lookout. Ab da folgte ich dem Waleka Walk zum Pat's Lookout.
Afterwards I followed the Baruwei Loop till the intersection to Pat's Lookout. From there I followed the Waleka Walk to Pat's Lookout.

Vom Pat's Lookout aus lief ich zum Southern Rockhole, wo ich schwimmen und klippenspringen war.
From Pat's Lookout I walked to Southern Rockhole, where I went for a swim and did some cliffdiving.

Anschließend ging es über den Waleka Walk und den Baruwei Loop zurück zum Visitor Centre, wo ich noch etwas an den Fluss ging und Flughunde fotografierte.
Afterwards I walked back to the visitor centre via Waleka Walk and Baruwei Loop. Then I walked a bit along the river and photographed flying foxes.

Am Nachmittag ging es dann zurück auf den Campingplatz nach Katherine, wo ich den Abend und die Nacht verbringen werde.
In the afternoon I drove back to the camp ground in Katherine where I will spend the evening and the night.
