At the 4th of April 2016 I drove to Litchfield National Park. After I visited the visitor centre to get some info material I drove to the Magnetic Termite Mounds, the first sight in the park.
Anschließend fuhr ich zu den Cascades, wo ich zu den Upper Cascades wanderte und dort auch baden ging.
Afterwards I drove to the Cascades, where I walked to the Upper Cascades and also went for a swim there.
Da es schon spät war fuhr ich nach den Cascades zum Campingplatz an den Wangi Falls, wo ich auch die Nacht verbrachte.
Because it was late already I drove to the camp ground at the Wangi Falls where I also spent the night.
Am nächsten Tag (05.04.16) wanderte ich den Wangi Loop Walk inklusive Lookouts entlang.
The next day (05/04/16) I walked the Wangi Loop Walk including the lookouts.
Danach ging es zum Green Ant Creek, wo ich zu den Tjaetaba Falls wanderte.
After that I went to the Green Ant Creek where I walked to the Tjaetaba Falls.
Als nächstes ging es dann zu den Tolmer Falls, wo ich auch eine kurze Wanderung machte.
The next stop was Tolmer Falls where I also went for a walk.
Nach den Tolmer Falls ging es zu den Florence Falls und dem Buley Rockhole. Bei den Florence Falls wanderte ich den Shady Creek Walk entlang und am Buley Rockhole ging ich baden. Dort sah ich auch einen Mertenswaran.
After the Tolmer Falls I went to the Florence Falls and the Buley Rockhole. At the Florence Falls I walked along the Shady Creek Walk and went for a swim at the Buley Rockhole. I also saw a mertens' water monitor there.
Am Abend fuhr ich noch zu einem Campingplatz etwas südlich von Darwin.
In the evening I drove to a camp ground a bit south of Darwin.
Gestern (06.04.16) fuhr ich nach Darwin, um mir die Stadt anzugucken. Ich lief durch den Bicentennial Park zur Darwin Waterfront. Dort machte ich dann eine Pause. Anschließend bekam mein Auto neue Reifen und die Nacht verbrachte ich auf einem Campingplatz nahe des Stadtzentrums.
Yesterday (06/04/16) I drove to Darwin to have a look at the city. I walked through the Bicentennial Park to the Darwin Waterfront, where I took a break. After that my car got some new tyres and I spent the night at a Caravan park near the centre of Darwin.
Heute (07.04.16) fuhr ich ins East Point Reserve, wo ich zum Dudley Point lief, von wo aus man einen schönen Blick auf Darwin hat. Anschließend lief ich noch den Monsoon Forest Walk entlang, setzte mich an den See im Reserve und schaute mir die Mangroven an. Den Nachmittag verbrachte ich am Pool des Campingplatzes und auch den restlichen Tag werde ich auf dem Campingplatz verbringen.
Today (07/04/16) I drove to the East Point Reserve, where I walked to the Dudley Point, where you have a nice view of Darwin. Afterwards I walked along the Monsoon Forest Walk, took a break at the lake of the reserve and took a look at the mangroves. I spent the afternoon at the pool of the caravan park and I will spend the rest of the day at the caravan park too.
