Mount Isa & Outback Queensland

Am 13. und 14.04.16 bin ich größtenteils Auto gefahren. Am 13.04. bin ich von Mataranka zum Three Ways Roadhouse gefahren. Am Folgetag fuhr ich dann weiter bis nach Mount Isa. In Mount Isa angekommen besuchte ich als erstes das Visitor Centre. Anschließend fuhr ich zum City Lookout und hatte von dort einen schönen Blick über Mount Isa. Danach fuhr ich zum Campingplatz, checkte dort ein und verbrachte den restlichen Tag dort, um mich von der langen Fahrt zu erholen.
At the 13th and 14th of April I mainly drove. At the 13th of April I drove from Mataranka to the Three Ways Roadhouse. The next day I drove from there to Mount Isa. As I arrived in Mount Isa I visited the Visitor Centre first. After that I drove to the City Lookout, where I had a nice view above Mount Isa. Afterwards I drove to the camping ground, checked in and spent the rest of the day there to have a rest from the long drive.

Am nächsten Tag (15.04.16) besuchte ich das Riversleigh Fossil Centre in Mount Isa. Dort werden Fossilien aus der Riversleigh Region ausgestellt, eine der reichsten Fossilfundstätten der Welt.
The next day (15/04/16) I visited the Riversleigh Fossil Centre in Mount Isa. Fossils from the Riversleigh region are on display there. Riversleigh is one of the richest fossil find spot in the world.

Am Abend schaute ich mir den Sonnenuntergang über Mount Isa vom City Lookout aus an. Die hinter den Minen untergehende Sonne ist schon was anderes als ein Sonnenuntergang am Strand.
In the evening I watched the sunset above Mount Isa at the City Lookout. The Setting sun bheind the mines is different than a sunset at the beach.

Gestern (16.04.16) fuhr ich von Mount Isa nach Cloncurry, wo ich einen kurzen Abstecher zum Visitor Centre machte und anschließend zu einem Aussichtspunkt fuhr.
Yesterday (16/04/16) I drove from Mount Isa to Cloncurry, where I did a short stop at the visitor centre and drove to a lookout after that.

Anschließend setzte ich meine Fahrt nach Richmond fort. Dort angekommen besuchte ich kurz das Visitor Centre, checkte auf einem Campingplatz ein und machte einen Spaziergang um den künstlich angelegten See (Lake Fred Tritton). Den Rest des Tages verbrachte ich dann auf dem Campingplatz.
Afterwards I continued my drive to Richmond. After my Arrival there I made a short visit to the visitor centre, checked in at the camp ground and walked around the recreational lake (Lake Fred Tritton). I spent the rest of the day at the camp ground.

Heute (17.04.16)bin ich dann nach Hughenden gefahren. Nach einem kurzen Besuch des Visitor Centres fuhr ich zum Flinders River, lief den Eco Walk at Flinders entlang und durch den Robert Gray Memorial Park. Den Rest des Tages werde ich auf dem Campingplatz verbringen.
Today (17/04/16) I drove to Hughenden. After a short visit at the visitor centre I drove to the Flinders River, walked along the Eco Walk at Flinders and through the Robert Gray Memorial Park. I will spend the rest of the day at the camp ground.
