After I drove from Coober Pedy to the Curtin Springs Wayside Inn (ca. 670km) at the 28th of february I continued my journey to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park the next day (29/02/16).
Nachdem ich auf dem Campingplatz eingecheckt hatte ging es in den Nationalpark, wo ich nach einem kurzen Abstecher zum Cultural Centre den Base Walk um den Uluru (Ayers Rock) entlanglief. Der Weg führt vorbei an der Kantju Gorge und dem Mutitjulu Waterhole.
After I checked in at the camp ground I drove to the national park where I, after a short side trip to the cultural centre, walked along the Base Walk around Uluru (Ayers Rock). The track passes the Kantju Gorge and the Mutitjulu Waterhole.
Anschließend fuhr ich zur Sunset Viewing Area um den Uluru in seiner ganzen Größe betrachten zu können.
Afterwards I drove to the sunset viewing area to look at the Uluru in it's full size.
Danach ging es zurück zum Campingplatz, wo ich mir am Abend den Sonnenuntergang von einem Aussichtspunkt aus anschaute.
Then I drove back to the camp ground where I watched the sunset at a lookout.
Am nächsten Morgen (01.03.16) bin ich dann früh aufgestanden, um den Sonnenaufgang vom Kata Tjuta Dune Viewing aus zu sehen und anschließend durch das Valley of the Winds zu wandern. Weil dieser Weg um 11 Uhr wegen Hitze gesperrt wird hatte ich also zwei Gründe früh aufzustehen. Der Sonnenaufgang war sehr schön und auch die Wanderung hat sich gelohnt, weil die Landschaft echt atemberaubend ist.
The next morning (01/03/16) I got up early to watch the sunrise at Kata Tjuta Dune Viewing and to do the Valley of the Winds Walk afterwards. Because the track is closed at 11 am due to heat I had to reasons to get up early. The sunrise was very beautiful and also the hike was worth it, because the landscape is breathtaking.
Anschließend lief ich noch den Wanderweg in die Walpa Gorge entlang und fuhr zum Kata Tjuta Sunset Viewing.
After that I walked along the track into the Walpa Gorge and drove to Kata Tjuta Sunset Viewing.
Nachdem ich den Nachmittag auf dem Campingplatz verbracht habe, fuhr ich abends zum Sonnenuntergang auf die Sunset Viewing Area zum Uluru.
After I spent the afternoon at the camp site I drove to the sunset viewing area to watch the sunset at Uluru.
Heute (02.03.16) bin ich dann wieder früh aufgestanden um den Sonnenaufgang am Uluru zu sehen. Anschließend machte ich noch eine kurze Wanderung.
Today (02/03/16) I got up early again to watch the sunrise at Uluru. Afterwards I did a short walk.
Danach besuchte ich nochmal das Cultural Centre und bin einmal um den Uluru gefahren. Dann ging es zurück zum Campingplatz.
Afterwards I visited the cultural centre again and drove around Uluru. Then I went back to the camp ground.
Nachdem ich den Nachmittag am Pool verbracht habe, bin ich für den Sonnenuntergang zur Sunrise Viewing Area am Uluru gefahren. Da es leider bewölkt war, war es nicht ganz so schön, aber trotzdem toll.
After I spent the afternoon at the pool I drove to the sunrise viewing area at Uluru for sunset. Due to the clouds it wasn't that beautiful, but still nice.
Am Parkplatz hab ich dann noch einen Dingo gesehen.
I also saw a dingo at the parking lot.
Die Nacht werde ich wieder auf dem Campingplatz verbringen und morgen geht es dann weiter.
I will spend the night at the camp ground again and will continue my journey tomorrow.
