The next morning (12/02/16) I drove to the Kelly Hills Caves and participated in a guided tour through the caves. The flowstones and formations were very nice and I even was allowed to take pictures!
Direkt danach ging es weiter zur Little Sahara. Das ist ein Gebiet mit große Sanddünen mitten im Buschland.
Directly after that I continued my drive to Little Sahara. This is an area with big sand dunes in middle of bushland.
Anschließend ging es zur Seal Bay, wo ich ebenfalls an einer geführten Tour teilnahm, welche mich an den Strand, nur ein paar Meter von den Seelöwen entfernt, führte. Mein Guide, Suzanne, war echt super und man hat gemerkt, dass sie mit ihrem ganzen Herzblut dabei ist.
Afterwards I went to Seal Bay where I also participated in a guided tour, which led my to the beach, only a couple of meters away from the seals. My guide, Suzanne, was awesome and you recognized that she puts her heart and soul in it.
Danach fuhr ich, mit einem kleinen Abstecher nach Kingscote, zur Emu Bay, wo ich auch übernachtete.
After that I drove, with a short side trip to Kingscote, to Emu Bay, where I also spent the night.
Am Folgetag (13.02.16) fuhr ich als erstes nach Stokes Bay und machte dort einen Strandspaziergang.
The following day (13/02/16) I drove to Stokes Bay and walked along the beach.
Danach fuhr ich zur Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, zur Clifford´s Honey Farm und zur Emu Bay Lavender Farm. Da diese drei Sachen jedoch nicht wirklich toll waren blieb ich überall nur kurz und fuhr anschließend wieder zur Emu Bay. Nur das Honigeis bei Clifford´s Honey Farm war echt lecker!
Afterwards I drove to the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, Clifford´s Honey Farm and to the Emu Bay Lavender Farm. Because all three things weren´t that great I left everything pretty quickly and drove back to Emu Bay. Only the honey ice cream at Clifford´s Honey Farm was delicious!
Den Nachmittag, Abend und die Nacht verbrachte ich an der Emu Bay.
I spent the afternoon, evening and the night at Emu Bay.
Vorgestern (14.02.16) fuhr ich nach Kingscote und anschließend nach American River. Auf dem Weg nach Kingscote kam ich an einem Salzsee vorbei und in Kingscote besuchte ich den Island Beehive und lief etwas durch die Stadt.
The day before yesterday (14/02/16) I drove to Kingscote and afterwards to American River. On my way to Kingscote I came across a salt lake and in Kingscote I visited the Island Beehive and walked through the town.
Als ich in American River angekommen war setzte ich mich ans Wasser, da der Campingplatz direkt an der Pelican Lagoon lag.
When I arrived in American River I sat down next to the water, because the camp ground was located directly at Pelican Lagoon.
An meinem letzten Tag auf Kangaroo Island (15.02.16) fuhr ich zum Brown Beach um baden zu gehen. es unbeständigen Wetters musste ich mich jedoch auf ein paar kurze Strandspaziergänge beschränken und verbrachte den Großteil des Tages im Camper mit Lesen.
On my last day on Kangaroo Island (15/02/16) I drove to Browns Beach to go swimming. Due to the instable weather conditions I had to limit it to a cpouple short walks along the beach and spent most of the time in my camper van with reading.
Heute (16.02.16) fuhr ich mit der Fähre von Penneshaw (Kangaroo Island) zurück nach Cape Jervis aufs Festland und von dort aus nach Williamstown im Barossa Valley. Dort fuhr ich auf einen Campingplatz und erledigte einige alltägliche Sachen. Morgen geht's dann auf Erkundungstour im Barossa Valley.
Today (16.02.16) I took the ferry from Penneshaw (Kangaroo Island) back to Cape Jervis on the mainland and from there I drove to Williamstown in the Barossa Valley. There I went to a camp ground and dealt with common things. Tomorrow I will explore the Barossa Valley.
