Great Ocean Road Part 2 & Grampians

Nach dem tollen Sonnenuntergang an den 12 Apostles fuhr ich am nächsten morgen (02.02.16) den Rest der Great Ocean Road von Port Campbell bis nach Warrnambool. Zwischenstopps machte ich am The Arch, der London Bridge, The Grotto, Bay of Martyrs und an der Bay of Islands.
After the beautiful sunset at the 12 Apostles I drove the rest of the Great Ocean Road from Port Campbell to Warrnambool the next morning (02/02/16). I made stopovers at The Arch, the London Bridge, The Grotto, Bay of Martyrs and the Bay of Islands.

Anschließend fuhr ich nach Halls Gap im Grampians Nationalpark, wo ich aufgrund des schlechten Wetters das Brambuk The National Park & Cultural Centre besuchte und mich dort im Boomerangwerfen versuchte.
Afterwards I drove to Halls Gap in Grampians National Park where I visited, due to the bad weather, the Brambuk The National Park & Cultural Centre and tried to throw a boomerang there.

Gestern (03.02.16) besuchte ich dann den Grampians Nationalpark. Mein ursprünglicher Plan wurde jedoch wieder vom schlechten Wetter durchkreuzt. Als es dann gegen Mittag besser wurde fuhr ich zu diversen Highlights des Parks.
Angefangen bei der Zumsteins Picnic Area (ehrlichgesagt ziemlich uninteressant), dann die Broken und Mackenzie Falls, Lake Wartook, Reed Lookout und The Balconies, Boroka Lookout und die Silverband Falls.
Yesterday (03/02/16) I visited the Grampians National Park. My first plan was baffled by the bad weather again. As the weather got better in the afternoon I drove to some of the Highlights in the park. I began with Zumsteins Picnic Area (honestly pretty boring), then Broken and Mackenzie Falls, Lake Wartook, Reed Lookout and The Balconies, Boroka Lookout and the Silverband Falls.

Die Nächte dieser beiden Tage verbrachte ich auf einer Rest Area nahe Stawell.
The nights of these two days I spent at a rest area near Stawell.

Heute (04.02.16) machte ich zwei Wanderungen im Grampians Nationalpark. Die erste führte mich auf den Gipfel des Mount William, wo ich durch die Wolke leider nur einen eingeschränkten Ausblick hatte.
Today 04/02/16) I did to hikes in the Grampians National Park. The first one took me to the summit of Mount William where I sadly had not the best view due to the clouds.

Beim Abstieg war die Sicht dann etwas besser.
On my way down I had a better view.

Anschließend fuhr ich nach Halls Gap um den Wonderland Track entlangzulaufen. Auf diesem Track liegen The Pinnacle, Grand Canyon, Splitters Falls (welche allerdings ausgetrocknet waren) und Venus Baths. Die Wanderung dauerte ca. 4 Stunden und war abschnittsweise sehr anspruchsvoll.
Afterwards I drove to Halls Gap to hike the Wonderland Track. At this track The Pinnacle, Grand Canyon, Splitters Falls (which were dry) and Venus Baths are located. The hike took about four hours and was partially very hard.

Während der Wanderung sah ich einige Skinke, Agamen, sowie meine ersten Schlangen, welche jedoch zu schnell zum fotografieren waren.
Das Highlight war diese Tannenzapfenechse:
During the hike I saw a couple of skinks, agamids and also my first two snakes, which were to fast for photographing.

Die Nacht verbringe ich auf einer Rest Area nahe Horsham.
I will spend the night at a rest area near Horsham.
