After I didn´t have the possibility to write into the blog the last couple of days I want to do that today again.
Am 10. und 11. Januar war ich im Royal National Park südlich von Sydney. Dieser ist das Naherholungsgebiet der Sydneysider.
Am 10. Januar war es sehr voll, weil es Sonntag war und zusätzlich noch Schulferien sind. Ich habe vom Visitor Centre in Audley meine kurze ca. 1,5 stündige Wanderung auf dem Robertsons Roundabout Track gestartet. Es war ein sehr schöner Track mit tollen Ausblicken über den Nationalpark. Nach dem Track habe ich mich dann noch etwas an den künstlich angelegten See direkt am Visitor Centre gesetzt, wo ich meinen ersten Waran in Australien gesehen habe.
At the 10th and 11th January I was in Royal National Park south of Sydney. It is the local recreation area for the Sydneysiders. At the 10th of Janaury it was very busy, because it was sunday and also here are school Holidays at the Moment. I started my short 1.5 hour hike on the Robertsons Roundabout Track from the visitor centre in Audley. It was a very nice hike with some awesome overviews over the national park. After the track I sat down at the artificial lake directly at the visitor centre where I spotted my first monitor lizard in Australia.
Den 11. Januar verbrachte ich um Wattamolla im Royal National Park. Hier unternahm ich eine Wanderung zum Eagle Rock und ging danach noch etwas an den Wattamolla Beach.
The 11th of January I spent around Wattamolla in Royal National Park. Here I hiked to the Eagle Rock and went to Wattamolla Beach for a short time afterwards.
Beide Nächte verbrachte ich auf einem Campingplatz nahe Wollongong.
I spent both nights at a Camping ground near Wollongong.
Am nächsten Tag (12. Januar) fuhr ich nach Kiama zum Kiama Blow Hole und den Historic Timber Terraces. Dann ging es weiter zum 7 Mile Beach, einem sehr schönen Strand südlich von Kiama, dann zur Jervis Bay und Hyams Beach, dem laut Guiness Buch der Rekorde weißeste Sandstrand der Welt. An beiden Stränden machte ich kurze Spaziergänge. An dem Tag knackte ich auch die ersten 1000 km. Die Nacht verbrachte ich auf einer Rest Area am Highway.
At the next day (12th January) I drove to Kiama to the Kiama Blow Hole and the Historic Timber Terraces. Then I continued my journey to 7 Mile Beach, a very nice beach south of Kiama, then to Jervis Bay and Hyams Beach, the whitest sand beach referring to the Guiness World Records Book. I took short walks at both beaches. I also cracked my first 1000 km. I spent the night at a rest area next to the Highway.
Gestern (13. Januar) bin ich durch das Kangaroo Valley, über die älteste Hängebrücke New South Wales, in den Morton National Park zu den Fitzroy Falls gefahren, wo ich eine kurze Wanderung unternahm.
Yesterday (13th January) I drove threw the Kangaroo Valley, over the oldest Suspension Bridge, into the Morton National Park to the Fitzroy Falls, where I made a short hike.
Die Nacht verbrachte ich auf der selben Rest Area wie den Abend zuvor und sah dort meine ersten wilden Kängurus.
I spent the night at the same rest area as the night before and saw my first wild kangaroos there.
Heute (14. Januar) war ich kurz im Jervis Bay National Park am Greenfield und am Chinamans Beach. Leider ist das Wetter nämlich schlechter geworden. Danach bin ich nach Batemans Bay weitergefahren, wo ich die Nacht auf einem Campingplatz mit Strom(!) verbringen werde.
Toda (14th January) I was for a short time in Jervis National Park at the Greenfield and Chinamans Beach. Sadly the weather turned bad. After that I drove to Batemans Bay where I will spend the night on a Camping ground with power(!).
