Gold Coast, Lamington National Park, Byron Bay, Dorrigo National Park & Port Macquarie

Am 10.06.16 fuhren wir nach Surfers Paradise an der Gold Coast. Da es uns beiden dort nicht gefiel sind wir nur an der Strandpromenade entlanggelaufen und anschließend in den Lamington Nationalpark gefahren. Dort sind wir zum Python Rock Lookout gelaufen, von wo aus wir einen tollen Blick auf die Morans Falls und den Nationalpark hatten. Die Nacht verbrachten wir auf einem Showground in Canungra.
At the 10th of June 2016 we drove to Surfers Paradise at the Gold Coast. Because both of us didn't like it there we just walked along the beach promenade and drove to Lamington National Park afterwards. There we walked to Python Rock Lookout, where you have a nice view of the Morans Falls and the national park. We spent the night at a showground in Canungra.

Am nächsten Morgen (11.06.16) fuhren wir nach Byron Bay, wo wir Cape Byron besuchten und uns das Cape Byron Lighthouse angeguckt haben.
The next morning (11/06/16) we drove to Byron Bay, where we visited Cape Byron and looked at the Cape Byron Lighthouse.

Anschließend fuhren wir nach Mullumbimby, wo wir die Nacht verbrachten.
Afterwards we drove to Mullumbimby, where we spent the night.

Am Sonntag (12.06.16) konnten wir wegen Regens leider nicht die geplanten Nationalparks besuchen. Deshalb fuhren wir nach Grafton, wo wir den Tag auf einem Campingplatz verbrachten.
On Sunday (12/06/16) we weren't able to visit some national parks due to rain. That's why we drove to Grafton, where we spent the rest of the day at a camp ground .

Gestern (13.06.16) sind wir nach Dorrigo gefahren, wo wir zu erst die Dangar Falls besuchten und auch zu diesen herunterliefen.
Yesterday (13/06/16) we drove to Dorrigo, where we first visited the Dangar Falls and also walked down to them.

Anschließend fuhren wir in den Dorrigo Nationalpark, wo wir nach einem kurzen Besuch des Rainforest Centres den Wonga Walk, vorbei an den Tristania Falls und den Crystal Shower Falls, entlangliefen. Hinter den Crystal Shower Falls war eine Höhle, welche man betreten konnte.
After that we drove to Dorrigo National Park, where we walked along Wonga Walk, past the Tristania Falls and the Crystal Shower Falls, after a short visit to the Rainforest Centre. Behind the Crystal Shower Falls was a small cave, which was acessible.

Nach der Wanderung gingen wir noch auf den Skywalk, von wo aus wir einen tollen Blick über den Nationalpark hatten.
After the hike we went on the Skywalk, where we had a beautiful view over the national park.

Am Nachmittag fuhren wir noch in den Guy Fawkes River National Park und guckten uns die Ebor Falls an. Als erstes waren die Upper Ebor Falls dran. Anschließend liefen wir ein kurzes Stück zu den Lower Ebor Falls. Dann ging es zurück nach Dorrigo, wo wir die Nacht verbrachten.
In the afternoon we drove to Guy Fawkes River National Park and had a look at the Ebor Falls. First we visited the Upper Ebor Falls. Then we walked along a short track to the Lower Ebor Falls. Afterwards we went back to Dorrigo, where we spent the night.

Heute (14.06.16) sind wir nach Port Macquarie gefahren, wo wir das Koala Krankenhaus und das Tacking Point Lighthouse besucht haben. Am Tacking Point konnten wir Buckelwale beobachten und sind etwas am Lighthouse Beach langgelaufen.
Today (14/06/16) we drove to Port Macquarie, where we visited the Koala Hospital and the Tacking Point Lighthouse. At Tacking Point we were able to observe humpback whales and walked a bit along Lighthouse Beach.

Fraser Island, Rainbow Beach, Noosa Heads, Glass House Mountains & D'Aguilar National Park

Am 05.06.16 sind wir morgens kurz an den Strand in Rainbow Beach gegangen. Anschließend wurden wir vom Campingplatz abgeholt und nahmen an einer Tagestour nach Fraser Island teil. Nach einer kurzen Fährüberfahrt und Fahrt zu einem Resort gab es erstmal Kaffee/Tee und Muffins. Anschließend fuhren wir durchs Pile Valley zum Lake McKenzie, wo ich schwimmen ging.
At the 5th of June 2016 we went to the beach in Rainbow Beach for a short period of time. After that we got picked up at the camp ground for our day tour to Fraser Island. After a short Ferry ride and drive to a Resort we got some coffee/tea and Muffins. Then we drove through Pile Valley to Lake McKenzie, where I went for a swim.

Nach Lake McKenzie ging es weiter zur Central Station/Wangoolba Creek. Auf dem Weg dorthin hatten wir einen Platten, weshalb wir den Bus wechseln mussten.
After Lake McKenzie we went to Central Station/Wangoolba Creek. On the way to it we had a flat tyre, that's why we had to switch buses.

Danach ging es dann mit einem anderen Bus zurück zum Resort, wo es Mittagessen gab. Nach dem Mittagessen fuhren wir den 75 Mile Beach entlang und machten zuerst Stopp am Wrack der Maheno und anschließend an The Pinnacles Coloured Sands.
After that we went with an other bus back to the resort, where we got lunch. After lunch we drove along the 75 Mile Beach and first stopped at the wreck of the Maheno and then at The Pinnacles Coloured Sands.

Von den Pinnacles aus nahmen wir an einem 15-minütigen Inselrundflug teil, welcher super schön war. Die Flugzeuge starteten und landeten am Strand.
From the Pinnacles we joined a 15 Minute scenic flight, which was very nice. The plains started and landed at the beach.

Nach dem Rundflug landeten wir am Strand am Eli Creek, wo wir einen Boardwalk am Bach entlangliefen und anschließend mit dem Bus den 75 Mile Beach zurück zum Resort, wo wir einen Dingo sahen, und anschließend zur Fähre fuhren. Auf der Fähre konnten wir einen tollen Sonnenuntergang beobachten. Dann ging es zurück zum Campingplatz, wo wir die Nacht verbrachten.
After the scenic flight we landed at the beach near Eli Creek, where we walked along a boardwalk next to the creek and afterwards took the bus back to the resort, where we saw a dingo, and then to the ferry along the 75 Mile Beach. On the ferry we witnessed a beautiful sunset. Then we went back to the camp ground, where we spent the night.

Am nächsten Tag (06.06.16) besuchten wir den Carlo Sandblow im Great Sandy Nationalpark nahe Rainbow Beach. Nachdem wir dort etwas Zeit verbracht hatten fuhren wir zum Strand von Rainbow Beach, welchen wir entlangliefen und auch Pause machten.
The next day (06/06/16) we visited Carlo Sandblow in the Great Sandy National Park near Rainbow Beach. After we had spend some time there we drove to the beach of Rainbow Beach, walked along the beach and also took a break.

Am Nachmittag fuhren wir zum Inskip Point, wo wir auf einem Campingplatz direkt am Strand den restlichen Tag verbrachten. Wir machten uns ein Lagerfeuer, grillten Würstchen und schauten uns den Sonnenuntergang an.
In the afternoon we drove to Inskip Point, where we spent the rest of the day on a camp ground next to the beach. We made a camp fire, grilled sausages and watched the sunset.

Am nächsten Morgen (07.06.16) schauten wir uns am Strand den Sonnenaufgang an.

Anschließend fuhren wir nach Noosa, wo wir im Noosa Nationalpark den Coastal Track entlangwanderten. Stopps machten wir am Boiling Pot, der Tea Tree Bay, dem Dolphin Point, Granite Bay, Hells Gates und an der Alexandria Bay, wo wir eine längere Pause einlegten. Anschließend gings zurück zum Campingplatz.
After that we drove to Noosa, where we hiked along the coastal track in Noosa National Park. We stopped at Boiling Pot, Tea Tree Bay, Dolphin Point, Granite Bay, Hells Gates and Alexandria Bay, where we took a longer break. Afterwards we went back to the camp ground.

Gestern (08.06.16) fuhren wir in die Glass House Mountains, wo wir zum Glass House Mountains Lookout fuhren, dort die Aussicht über die Glass House Mountains genossen und anschließend zum Mount Ngungun fuhren und diesen entlang des Summit Track hochwanderten.
Yesterday (08/06/16) we drove to the Glass House Mountains, where we drove to Glass House Mountains Lookout, enjoyed the view there and after that went to Mount Ngungun, which we walked up along the Summit Track.

Am Nachmittag fuhren wir zum Showground in Samford, wo wir den Rest des Tages verbrachten.
In the afternoon we drove to the showground in Samford, where we spent the rest of the day.

Heute (09.06.16) fuhren wir in den D'Aguilar Nationalpark, wo wir durch den subtropischen Regenwald zu den Greenes Falls wanderten. Anschließend fuhren wir noch zum Westridge Outlook im Nationalpark.
Today (09/06/16) we drove into the D'Aguilar National Park, where we walked through the rainforest to the Greenes Falls. After that we went to Westridge Outlook inside the national park.

Am frühen Nachmittag fuhren wir dann zur Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary und besuchten diese. Am späten Nachmittag fuhren wir dann zu einem Campingplatz nahe Logan, wo wir die Nacht verbringen werden.
In the early afternoon we went to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and visited it. In the late afternoon we drove to a camp ground near Logan and will spend the night there.
