Sydney: Opera House, Botanic Gardens, The Rocks, Manly & Darling Harbour

Am 25.06.16 sind wir mit dem Zug nach Sydney in die Stadt gefahren. Als Erstes sind wir zum Circular Quay gelaufen und haben uns das Sydney Opera House und die Sydney Harbour Bridge angesehen. Anschließend sind wir durch die Royal Botanic Gardens zum Point Macquarie gelaufen, von wo aus wir einen schönen Blick auf die Harbour Bridge und das Opernhaus hatten.
At the 25th of June 2016 we took the Train to Sydney CBD. First we walked to Circular Quay and took a look at the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Afterwards we walked through the Royal Botanic Gardens to Point Macquarie, where we had a nice view of the opera house and the Harbour Bridge.

Danach sind wir durch die Royal Botanic Gardens zurück zum Circular Quay gelaufen und dann weiter nach The Rocks, wo wir die The Rocks Markets besucht haben und uns dort auch Street Food geholt haben. Anschließend sind wir nach Barangaroo gelaufen und haben uns dort ans Wasser gesetzt. Am späten Nachmittag ging es dann mit dem Zug zurück zum Campingplatz.
After that we walked back through the Royal Botanic Gardens to Circular Quay and from there to The Rocks, where we visited The Rocks Markets and bought some street Food there. Then we went to Barangaroo and sat down at the waterfront. In the late afternoon we catched the train back to the camp ground.

Am Sonntag (26.06.16) sind wir mit dem Zug nach Sydney und anschließend mit der Fähre von Circular Quay nach Manly gefahren. Dort sind wir am Manly Beach entlanggelaufen und sind von dort aus durch den Sydney Harbour National Park zum Fairfax Lookout gewandert. Auf dem Weg kamen wir am The Barracks Precinct vorbei. Vom Aussichtspunkt hatten wir einen schönen Blick auf Port Jackson und die Skyline von Sydney. Dort machten wir auch Mittagspause, bevor wir zurück zum Fähranleger liefen und die Fähre zurück nach Circular Quay zu nehmen und anschließend den Zug zum Campingplatz.
On sunday (26.06.16) we catched the train to Sydney and then took the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly. There we walked along Manly Beach and hiked through Sydney Harbour National Park to Fairfax Lookout. On our way we came past The Barracks Precinct. From the lookout we had a beautiful view of Port Jackson and the skyline of Sydney. We also had lunch there, before we walked back to the ferry terminal and catched the Ferry back to Circular Quay and after that the train to the camp ground.

Gestern (27.06.16) nahmen wir die Fähre von Circular Quay nach Darling Harbour. Anschließend liefen wir durch Darling Harbour und sahen uns den Stadtteil an. Wir besuchten das Hard Rock Cafe und am Nachmittag aßen wir ein letztes Mal Burger in Australien. Danach liefen wir zum nächsten Bahnhof und fuhren zurück zum Campingplatz.
Yesterday (27/06/16) we took the ferry von Circular Quay to Darling Harbour. After that we walked through Darling Harbour and took a look at this part of the city. We visited the Hard Rock Cafe and in the afternoon we ate burgers for the last time in Australia. Afterwards we walked to the next train station and took the train back to the camp ground.

Heute (28.06.16) verbringen wir den Tag auf dem Campingplatz, packen unsere Koffer und bereiten alles für die Abreise vor.
Today (28/06/16) we will spend the day at the camp ground, pack our bags and prepare everything for our departure.

Blue Mountains: Meeting with/mit Neville Burns, Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls & Govetts Leap; Royal National Park & Botany Bay National Park

Am 21.06.16 trafen wir uns mit Neville Burns, einer australischen Reptilienlegende, im Savoy Cafe in Katoomba. Wir unterhielten uns lange und machten am Ende noch ein Foto zusammen. Das Treffen war echt super und ich bin froh die Ehre gehabt zu haben Neville zu treffen.
At the 21st of June 2016 we met Neville Burns, an australian reptile legend, in the Savoy Cafe in Katoomba. We talked for a Long time and took a photo together at the end. The meeting was awesome and I'm happy that I had the honour to meet Neville.

Nach dem Treffen liefen wir zu den Three Sisters im Blue Mountains National Park, liefen The Giant Stairway an den Three Sisters herunter und wanderten den Federal Pass bis zu den Katoomba Falls entlang. Anschließend liefen wir die Furber Steps zu den Katoomba Cascades hoch.
After the meeting we walked to the Three Sisters, walked down The Giant Stairway to Federal Pass and hiked along the pass to Katoomba Falls. Then we climbed the Furber Steps to Katoomba Cascades.

Nach der Wanderung gingen wir nochmal ins Savoy Cafe und aßen Kangaroo Burger zu Mittag. Danach fuhren wir nach Blackheath, wo wir die Nacht verbrachten.
After the hike we went back to Savoy Cafe and eat Kangaroo Burger for lunch. Afterwards we drove to Blackheath, where we spent the night.

Am nächsten Tag (22.06.16) fuhren wir zum Govetts Leap Lookout im Blue Mountains National Park und wanderten von dort zum Pulpit Rock, von wo aus wir die Bridal Veil und Horseshoe Falls sehen konnten.
The next day (22/06/16) we drove to Govetts Leap Lookout inside Blue Mountains National Park and hiked from there to Pulpit Rock, from where we were able to see Bridal Veil and Horseshoe Falls.

Danach ging es zum Evans Lookout und anschließend gingen wir nochmal ins Savoy Cafe in Katoomba. Am Nachmittag fuhren wir nach Miranda, wo wir die Nacht verbrachten.
After that we went to Evans Lookout and went into the Savoy Cafe in Katoomba again. In the afternoon we drove to Miranda, where we spent the night.

Gestern (23.06.16) besuchten wir den Royal National Park, wo wir den Coastal Track von Bundeena bis zum Marley Head entlangliefen. Während der Wanderung kamen wir an The Balconies und am White (Weeding Cake) Rock vorbei.

Nach der Wanderung fuhren wir zum Wattamolla Beach, wo wir uns an den Strand setzten und lasen.
After the hike we drove to Wattamolla Beach, where we sat down at the beach and read a bit.

Heute (24.06.16) besuchten wir den Kamay Botany Bay National Park. Dort besuchten wir den Landungspunkt von Captain Cook, fuhren anschließend zum Cape Solander und wanderten von dort aus zum Cape Baily Lighthouse. Auf dem Rückweg zum Auto machten wir noch etwas Whale Watching.
Today (24/06/16) we visited the Kamay Botany Bay National Park. There we visited the first landing point of captain Cook, drove to Cape Solander and hiked from there to Cape Baily Lighthouse. On our way back to the car we did some Whale Watching.

Nach der Wanderung fuhren wir zu einem Campingplatz etwas nördlich von Sydney.
After the hike we drove to a camp ground a bit North of Sydney.

Newcastle, Bouddi National Park, Australian Reptile Park, Wollemi National Park & Blue Mountains: Jenolan Caves & Wentworth Falls

Am 15.06.16 fuhren wir in den Dooragan National Park, wo wir von diversen Lookouts einen super Blick über die Umgebung hatten. Außerdem machten wir eine kleine Wanderung durch den Nationalpark.
At the 15th of June 2016 we drove to Dooragan National Park, where we had a great view over the area from various lookouts. We also did a small walk through the national park.

Danach ging es weiter nach Newcastle, wo wir vom Nobbys Lighthouse am Nobbys Beach bis zum Newcastle Beach gelaufen sind.
After that we went to Newcastle, where we walked from Nobbys Lighthouse at Nobbys Beach to Newcastle Beach.

Am nächsten Tag (16.06.16) fuhren wir als erstes nach Avoca Beach, wo wir uns die Rockpools an der Steilküste ansahen und dort entlangliefen.
The next day (16/06/16) we first drove to Avoca Beach, where we looked at the rockpools at the cliffs and walked along there.

Danach gings in den Bouddi National Park, wo wir zur Maitland Bay wanderten und über den Bouddi Lookout zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.
After that we went to Bouddi National Park, where we walked to Maitland Bay and past Bouddi Lookout back to the start.

Am Freitag (17.06.16) besuchten wir den Australian Reptile Park nahe Gosford. Dort sahen wir uns die Reptile Show an, wo auch eine Tigerotter gemolken wurde. Die Anlagen des Parks sind schön und aufwendig gestaltet und besonders das Reptilienhaus hatte es mir angetan.
On friday (17/06/16) we visited the Australian Reptile Park. There we joined the reptile Show, where they milked a tiger snake. The enclosures are nice and very ellaborately built and I really liked the Reptile House.

Anschließend fuhren wir nach Rosevale, wo wir die Nacht verbrachten.
Afterwards we drove to Rosevale, where we spent the night.

Am Folgetag (18.06.16) fuhren wir in den Wollemi National Park, wofür wir zweimal den Hawkesbury River zweimal mit der Fähre überqueren mussten. Im Wollemi National Park machten wir dann eine Wanderung.
The next day (18/06/16) we drove to Wollemi National Park. We had to cross the Hawkesbury River twice with a ferry for this. Inside Wollemi National Park we did a hike.

Danach ging es weiter nach Katoomba, wo wir am Abend auf das Winter Magic Festival gegangen sind.
After that we went to Katoomba, where we went to the Winter Magic Festival.

Gestern (19.06.16) sind wir am Nachmittag wegen des schlechten Wetters zu den Jenolan Caves gefahren und haben dort an der Diamond Cave Tour teilgenommen. Vor der Tour haben wir uns in die Lobby des Hotels an den Kamin gesetzt.
Yesterday (19/06/16) we went to the Jenolan Caves in the afternoon due to the bad weather and joined the Diamond Cave Tour. Prior to the tour we sat down in the lobby of the hotel at the fire place.

Heute (20.06.16) sind wir zu den Wentworth Falls im Blue Mountains National Park gefahren, wo wir den National Pass, inklusive einiger Lookouts und der Lodore und Empress Falls, entlanggewandert sind.
Today (20/06/16) we drove to the Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains National Park, where we hiked along the National Pass, including a couple of lookouts and the Lodore and Empress Falls.

Nach dieser Wanderung sind wir noch zum Sublime Point Lookout, zu den Gordon Falls und haben anschließend noch eine kurze Wanderung vorbei an den Leura Cascades und Leura Falls bis zum Bridal Veil Lookout gemacht.
After this hike we also went to Sublime Point Lookout, to the Gordon Falls and did a small hike along the Leura Cascades and Leura Falls to Bridal Veil Lookout.
